In this post we are going to talk about how to design an Instance. An Instance can consist of the following components: Player Entrance Timers with consequences On/Off Switches Spawn Mobs Environment Box Trigger Inflect Damage Trigger Messages Trigger Particles Trigger Stack Timer Player Entrance is where the player enters the Instance Timers with consequences can be kick player out, kill player, or move player to new location. Current MAX timer setting is 2 hours. On/Off Switches might be open door, spawn creatures, or move player. Spawn Mobs spawns a certain number and type of mob at a location. Environment Box Trigger enter or exit triggers an action. Inflect Damage inflects a set amount of damage to the player (can also heal but MA hates this and will disallow). Trigger Messages can trigger a new quest, rewards, etc. Trigger Particles can trigger visual effects. Trigger Stack Timer a shorter timer within a timer (example 30 seconds to get reward with in the 2 hours to complete the instance). So now knowing this how would you design an Instance?
